Has the Curly Girl method from my last post sparked your interest, but you don’t know how to move forward? Here is a Curly Started Pack with Budget-friendly products to get you started.
Thank you so much for all the messages for my last curly girl post. It makes me so happy that I was able to help you guys in the smallest way. Here’s what you can do next.
🧩 The basics of the curly girl method (CG) are easily available on the internet. There are lots of lovely bloggers who write extensively on this topic. I highly recommend the Curious Jalebi.
🧩Find your curl type. Google curl type and you will find images of curl types like 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, and so on. Which curl type is your hair? Once you have an idea start searching hashtags like #2ahair, #2bhair etc on Instagram to see other ladies with similar hair.
🧩Find a Curly Girl influencer whose curl type is similar to yours. If your curl patterns are similar, products and methods they use will probably suit you as well. I tagged several lovely ladies in my last post, you could use them as a starting point.
🧩Join Curly Girl Facebook groups. It’s a great resource for beginners and advanced curlies alike.
🧩Use the website isitcg.com to find if a product is CG friendly or not. Do you have a product that you think is CG-friendly? Google ‘Product Name’ Ingredients. You will find a list the product’s ingredients. Now copy and paste it into the Is it CG? website
🧩Another great way to start is to find curly girl influencers who live in the same country. A lot of products are not available everywhere, so it is easiest to find products available in your country.
🧩 @welshiecurlgirl on Instagram started an amazing initiative called Curly Girl Starter Pack, for those who are unsure of what products to buy and don’t want to spend a ton of money right at the beginning.
You can begin here. Here I’m sharing a Curly Starter Pack for Germany. These are great budget-friendly products to start with.
